1966 c10 brake lights stay hot

I am working on a '66 c10 and the brake lights stay hot even without the brake switch connected. It looks like a factor wiring harness to the fuse box, steering column, and the firewall connector for the rear wire run.
Anyone have any suggestions?

The steering column is all jacked up with no turn signal arm could that have something to do with it?

Re: 1966 c10 brake lights stay hot

I fixed part of the issue when I hooked up an aftermarket blinker assembly. Now I'm not getting power to the brake button except when the headlights are on. I've moved to a new thread due to a different issue.
