99-06 front fenders?

Hey guys, im usually on the squarebody side of this site as I drive a 1976 GMC pickup. But my dad has a 2005 GMC Sierra, and i'd just like to know if all the front fenders for 99-06 GMC and Chevy trucks are the same? We're looking to replace a passenger side front fender. Are the GMC and Chevy the same for 99-06? I know with squarebody's, the 73-80 GMC and Chevy are the same, as is the 81-87 GMC and Chevy front fenders. If you guys could help me out and let me know, that would be cool. Thanks.

Re: 99-06 front fenders?

GMC and Chevy had different headlamps and grille and there's a year split where they gave the Silverado a facelift so the fenders and hood will differ to match.
That being said you can swap the nose clip from one to the other and they will bolt up.

03-07 Chevy

I'm not as familiar with the GMC. You can swap the Silverado for Sierra nose to suit your taste as well. Similar to round eye to square eye squarebody or swapping the early four lamp T400 on later trucks. The early and later T800 cabs are close enough to the same that it's a plain old bolt up swap unlike the 70's & 80's trucks.
I think I put at least one front clip swap thread in the FAQ
