68 70 grille emblems

Will the 70 grille emblem fit the 68 grille? The reason I ask is because I want the blue color of the 70 model but I want it to fit correctly. I know I can buy a new 68 one and paint it but if the 70 will fit I'd just assume have it.

Thanks in advance.

70 did not have a grille emblem, 71 and 72 did. 70 had a hood bowtie, but they are not interchangeable with a 67 - 68 grille emblem.

Ok, Thanks. Guess I'll just have to paint it.

Here’s a thought. To get a see through effect, first paint a shiny silver base then cover that with a see through blue. It give a glass like appearance, the trick is finding the see through Blue.
Experiment a something not so important first

Krylon True Blue is the best match of the blue 69-72 hub cap bow ties, but that's not necessarily the transparent bowtie of 69-72 hood and grille.

This is the color I chose for the truck and would like to paint the center of the emblem the same. Arrival blue. It's a translucent paint and not a transparent.

Another thought. Get a fresh rechrome done on the emblem, then do the clear blue as a mentioned before.
