Ok, thanks chop. I'm guessing you're running 15x8 front and rear?

Yep, we made plans last Saturday night to pull all the garage bay doors shut, and turn off the "Open" sign @ 6:00pm and start working on it. I got there around 5:00pm to help finish up last minute jobs, but it was 7:30pm before we started working on mine. We did indeed have a blast!!

We had beverages in the fridge, a HUGE plate of fried chicken my wife had made and we jammed on Led Zepplin the Entire night as we worked on my truck until approx. 3:00am Sunday morning.

It was, without a doubt, the greatest time I've had (working on a vehicle) in years!!

Dan, you already know my opinion, but just for the record:
1. Red
2. Black
3. Silver

Oh, and that website we were talking about earlier is:

http://www.stocktonwheel.com/

One of these days, I hope I can order a set of wheels from these guys. The prices are "relatively" decent, and the customer service is/was Awesome!!

I'll check on getting a photo of the rims they made for my friend, and send it to ya.

I've been great...still working on my interior.
I'm really liking the Rally wheel look. And it's not as expensive to put together vs a new set of 18/18 and tires.

Re: pictures of shortbox stepsides

Here's my orange C/10 Stepside. Been running it since June '73 -- 3 months short of 40 years. Original 516 Orange with desert patina. Factory stance -- sort of. Lotta miles, Lotta good times. Freshly rebuilt 292 in '05. Would've posted years earlier, but I just got high speed. On the old dial up it took 45 minutes to upload one jpeg!
Looks like it still takes a long time.

Re: pictures of shortbox stepsides

Appreciate the kind words guys.

502MS, really dig your truck. Been reading up on your build thread over the last few days. You've inspired me to try out some trim rings on my steelies. Eventually trying to get a similar stance to what you have. I'm bagged on stock suspension at the moment, but have some drop spindles coming to me. After I wrap up the front, then I'll be notching the rear.

Sharp looking stepsides in this thread!!

Bugz, if you're seriously thinking of switching to rallys, I can't Wait to see it!! But I'm hoping you'll also go/stay with 10" on the rear though.

I'm not sure if you guys caught that link I posted for stockton wheels, but just in case, here it is again. I know first hand that they make some Very nice rims, and can chrome or powder coat any color, any wheel you want.

Sid,
Currently I'm looking for a thinner (15x6, 7 or 8") matching Centerline for the front. Is have a WTB posted in the For Sale section of this forum. I also like the 10" wide look. It has become obvious that the lowered Stepside is very popular with Rally's or 15" wheels. 15x10 and 15x6,7 08" Rally's would look nice. I like the taller or newer wheel look, but the low fat tire look is what attracted me to my truck in the first place. When I get real serious about putting new rubber on, I'll make my final decision.
Thanks for the link....it would be nice if they showed some prices.

I'm having a hard time deciding the type of rim to go with myself, but most likely I'll just run the 15x10's I have for awhile unless I run across a great deal on something different. I'll probably go with rallys myself or torque thrusts later on though.

I really hope you can find a narrower centerline to match the rear. IMO those rims really set your truck apart from the rest. I'll help ya look around my area also and I'll let ya know if I find anything, but you just don't stumble across those Tomahawks everyday..lol.

I think one reason Stockton doesn't post prices is because they specialize in custom wheels as ordered, but I agree they should have the standard rates for custom work such as widening, chroming, powder coating,..etc. However, another reason they don't post prices such as tossing together a complete set of Rally wheels, (including trim rings and centers) is pretty darn expensive with Stockton even for the "raw" wheel that would still need to be painted.
