What's a clean Cali desert built 68 stepwise short bed worth?

Hi thought I'd ask here as I've owned numerous trucks but never a 67-72 truck, well had a 72 Lb fleet and used it for parts for my 1966. It was minus a motor and trans. Took the suspension auto column rear end 5 lug stuff and parted it out, got to save a neighbor's 90 year old dad's truck from being scraped because sold him complete front clip and frame but wished I woulda just found a 67 clip and took motor and trans out of 66 lol but coulda woulda shoulda. Anyway old man been helping out wants to give me it for work I'm doing and my buddy wants to buy it but idk what's a fair price? Not much rust if any I've worked in body shops 25 years I'd say it's solid orig yellow paint black into not running?I'm not trying yo get arm and leg for it but I've been too nice and to helpfully and to giving to lots of people and I gotta make sure I get decent price just a basic hi low estimate would be great. Thanks to any who help or took time to read. Shoot if it's way over his budjet it might be listed on here by Saturday lol.thanks

If its a shortbed and rust free cab. I will take the cab, makes up for all the injustice done to all the longbeds.

With no pictures, no solid description of condition, no list of options, title or no title, back registration fees, last year Driven unknown etc etc.

Somewhere between $500 and $10,000
