Plastic 'rolling chassis wheels' ?
I swear I saw some plastic wheels to roll chassis around that bolts to the hubs. I can't find them in search for the life of me. Anyone recall?

The casters that the tires/wheels sit in work pretty good. Never seen the ones you are talking about, but I am sure someone makes them.

I have seen them also, they look like a 5 gallon paint bucket lid, but about 3 inches thick. Cool idea and they save shop space.

Thanks HarrolLS1, thats what i was thinking of, proud of them suckers aren't they? DT1 might have a point.
Those are pretty cool RW71, if it wasn't such a short term deal i needed them for I'd contract you out  Thanks guys. |

I just use steel wheels with no tires on them...but I like the plywood idea.

If you were not on the other side Of the country I wouls sell you a set of 8 inch rallies with hooptie tires for less than those.

Thanks for the great ideas.
Plywood might work, but it does have to support a frame w/motor on it. Got a line on the bottom 3 feet of a late model trailblazer but i'll need to trailer it w/o a forklift and the sucker doesn't have tires. I noticed some envoy wheels (gmc's version) on CL for $100 with tires that still hold air, I'll probably go that route. |

My '67 has been sitting on roller steelies and tires since 5 years before this thread started. When I bought the rebuilt roller chassis, w/o wheels and tires, in '05 I used a dolly to pull it back to Maryland from Florida. I brought the wheels & tires with me. Junkyards set wheels with mounted tires cheap
