picked up a 110lb sand blaster from cardboard freight...it actually works pretty well...will be great on smaller jobs. .wouldn't want to tackle a huge job with it though

Re: sand blaster

How big of a compressor do you have it on? I have looked at the flyer a couple times but have not been in to look at it in person. Would be nice if it runs on a smaller compressor

Re: sand blaster

I'm running a 60gal 8hp IR...it would barely keep up with nonstop use...but I'm in no hurry on small stuff....my big stuff is going to a commercial blaster...

Re: sand blaster

I'm glad you like the blaster. I would not, on the contrary, recommend their blasting cabinet. The siphon feed on it is terrible. There are even a few "siphon mods" that people have done on other forums, which I have copied with little success. It mostly just sits in the corner now and only gets used when I'm desperate and looking for some self inflicted punishment.

I got my blasting cabinet at Greg smith but it looks ldentical to the HF one. You are right the original light and tube/ gun sucked. I upgraded the tube/gun with a set from TP tools and it works a lot better now. I pulled the light out and fabbed me up some led modules to illuminate the entire cabinet. Still a long way from perfect but works most days. I think the gun upgrade was around 80-100 bucks.

I have a 300lb pot and access to a 185 cfm diesel compressor I just hate getting it set up for smaller stuff that wont quite fit in the cabinet
