E-brake cable locked up

Has anyone had any luck loosening a frozen e-brake cable in the rear drum. I just got my cables connected, one drum cable works but the other one is seized.

Re: E-brake cable locked up

Just the cable the brake shoes and hardware are fairly new. I was worried about lubing it up in case that made it attract dust and re-sieze. Are new ones lubes or dry.

Graphite lube, won’t attract dust.

Re: E-brake cable locked up

Mine was rusted solid and I had to replace it. I did both just in case.
