Thanks, shooting for the next 3 weeks if all goes well. Had a work call today and when I got finished stopped by sandblaster and had wheel tubs blasted. Trying to get them primed this evening.

Your painting this truck under a 20X10 car cover?? how do you deal with over spray? any trouble with paint dust hitting the wet paint? Awesome Job!

I spray with door open so overspray can escape for the most part. And I air it out good before I close it up and turn heat on. Thanks for compliment!

Re: Project "Irvin"

Awesome job on the paint and congrats on finishing it. I love that you painted it in a portable tent garage. Looks like I will be doing the same thing in my back yard and seeing how you did it will help me when I attempt to paint mine. Did you use single stage or BC/CC for the paint? What brand of paint did you use? Just trying to do some research for mine.

I used base/clear it's a lot more forgiving if you make a mistake. Which I only had one major mistake and it was my fault for knowing better and going against my training. I'm pretty partial to PPG, and I'm in pretty good with them and Sherwin Williams. I also used some liquids from Keystone...they offer a great primer and also a very high solids clear. I just really took my time and decided there was no need to rush and made sure everything was clean and metal was warm. However, I just remembered that I need to spray my AC vent housings for dash so I better get them done tomorrow. Looking like work is slowing down a little so I can hopefully get him to the exhaust shop next week. Thanks!

Thanks Mike, I have the rear bumper installed and decided to crawl under it and button a few things up. I forgot to put one of the new cab mounts in so I have to do that and a few more odds and ends

Thank you Wade, I've started wet sanding and decided to get some food so i may be done for evening. I'm really stoked on getting this done and driving it. Next one will be painted the same way I'm sure and maybe get a little bling in the fenders of course I'm partial to the old school look.
Send it on and you can come visit for a month while it's getting done.

Thanks Anthony, not to bad I wear myself out so sleeping is easy it's the sleeping in part that's hard.
When you going to start a build thread on the 69 so we can see it? Guess you sold the super on eBay?

I pray I don't have to go through this another week and relist. I need to find out how to list pics and start a thread, point the way. Thanks

Looking good. How do u get to run a tag from the yr. veh. was built? I've seen them on vehs. but don't know the procedure. School is cancelled for two days, so I'll be here. I want to change 3 spd. to 200-r4 trans., all the companies tell me something different. Any ideas of what to purchase for lock-up and throttle. Removing 2 barrel for Holley 600. I was looking at CPP trans. crossmember, it comes w/ free trans. mount and is made for lowered trucks, so I wouldn't have to change it later.
