Re: 1969 c10 the start of something fun

Question about your instrument panel:
did you keep the stock gas gauge? If so how did you wire it?
I like your idea of filling/replacing the 4 smaller gauge holes with aftermarket gauges, but I want to keep my stock gas gauge.
thanks, and looks good!

Re: 1969 c10 the start of something fun

Mike.... That truck is SIIIIICK! That is exactly what I want to do to mine, Flat black with red accents! The Halo lights are awesome, I was in the air about them until I saw your pics... I getting em!

You mentioned that the TJ springs in the rear are alittle soft... did you use the TJ rear or front springs? I read through the whole thread but didn't notice if you mentioned it....

Thanks man. It was the rear spring from the jeep tj (97 and up) They have pigtails on both ends so it works out. Good luck with your build.

On the exhaust stroke the exhaust valve is open. TDC both valves are closed.

looks good. What wheels are those? Id suggest adding a backing plate or boxing the frame around the notch.

Re: 1969 c10 the start of something fun

The rims are 20x8 Chrome American Racing Vintage Iroc Replica
and you are right, I have to do something with the frame notch. I was thinking of boxing in or making a new rear frame. I will be z'ing the frame to when i put the air ride in when ever that is.

Re: 1969 c10 the start of something fun

Man you have done an EXCELLENT job on your truck! I love everything about it. On your gear drive, I don't use them but I think they sound killer but I kinda like to hear my motor, you know with the gear drives it kinda drowns out your motor but hey, you are doing awesome!!

Thanks man, But i will say I am kinda bummed I am running out of stuff to do.
Ill have to think of some small stuff like shaving the tail light and drip rail and getting the rest of the stuff i need for the air ride. Ill think of something off the wall to do to it maybe like a 12v Cummins Diesel
