Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project

I assume those are not floating calipers if you've run hard line all the way on them?

Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project

No, they are floating. I have never had a problem running the hard line straight to a floating caliper. I use stainless steel annealed line, it is more flexible when annealed. The only down fall I see doing it this way is that whenever the owner goes to replace rear pads he will have to disconnect the hard lines and re bleed the brakes... Once every 40,000 miles or so, so really not that big of a deal.

Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project

Got the Grant Customs skin welded up and installed the 15" AVS led tail lights installed. My buddy Will came over and helped out a bit. I had to get a picture of someone other than me working on the truck, so here he is... drilled who knows how many holes in the floor piece.

Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project

Almost done with the tranny hump. Just one small patch panel on the drivers side to finish up.

Your metal work look great. I like your rear lights in your tail gate. subscribed

Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project

ok, finally back to work on the blazer. I got the 1" narrower Porterbuilt arms on and the hood now closes.

The standard arms from them were a bit too wide for the 24's to fit under the hood. With them now 1" narrower the tires clear the roll in the hood.

I also got the Porterbuilt hood hinges on and all the front end mounted up. Now I just need to add some support in the fenders as well as a place to hide wires up underneath the fender support. Then weld up the front Grant Customs roll pan and fill all the little holes in the hood, grill, and fenders.

Re: Tre5 Customs roadster blazer project

could you set something across the top of the fenders and tell me how much your tires stick up above the top of the fenders, if you dont have time that is fine but if you do it would be a good little bit of research for me

No, it will disrupt the lines.
