1974 C10 Truck

Working on a 1974 C10 Truck: CC10703. SPID label shows option YJ5 Custom Vinyl Trim. Truck also has YE9 Cheyenne Super Equip. YJ5 does not show up in any of the sales price guides, unless it was part of YE9, any ideas?

Try asking in the 73-87 forum where all those owners are. Many members don't use
General Discussion, only use the forum that fits their truck. Maybe it's the plaid seat option. Those seats were all vinyl, unlike the '72 Highlander.. The owner of the house I'm working on has, I guess, a '75 GMC Sierra that has a plaid seat. I'm guessing the year because it has the same style hubcaps as 69-72s but the grille is not a 73/74. I can check it's spid on Wed. The truck is 100% original

Re: 1974 C10 Truck

This should be moved to the '73-87 forum but in the meantime here is the info I have on that option. You had your choice of YJ6 or YJ5 seats with the YE9 option, so it was part of the YE9 but called out as a separate RPO since you had a choice between YJ5 or YJ6. YJ5 is a special embossed all vinyl seat, no cloth inserts, unfortunately the books I have don't have an actual image of the seat but it was carried over from 1973 model year.

This is correct.

Note that YJ5 was also available with Z84 and Z62 trim option content, but at additional cost.

Re: 1974 C10 Truck

I had it backwards. Those are nice heavy vinyl seats. That's what I'm used to seeing in Z84s and YE9s in those years. The Sierra where I'm working has the cloth.

Re: 1974 C10 Truck

Thanks all, I had it listed on the window sticker at .00 cost as figured it was included with YE9.
