Ok, I get it now. Earlier post you said you had a extra one, aftermarket or OEM? I need one but like I said, gonna cover any chrome, so dont want to spend a bunch on finish. Thank's for the help!

More comments on the bedliner idea for the interior? There will be almost no chrome or shiny parts on this K5 when I'm done here.

since you're going to cover it you might look for one with a little pitting. The one I have is really nice with good chrome so I'm asking 85 plus shipping

It doesn't hold down the seal...it actually captures it within the groove of the strip. I'll try to take pics of the groove area tomorrow night and post them for you.

My K5 had bedliner sprayed on the floors and inside the bedsides. I liked the way it looked even before the carpet went down.

If can't come up with a stock strip to paint black here, I'll just fab up a piece to hold down the rubber strip. Anybody got pic's of this mod?

just wondering if you changed your transfer case to a np 205. and if you did do you still have the coupler for your dana 20.
