Sounds good man, I know of a few but they are pricey. I plan on using this beast so I am not one to pay up for the perfect paint job. Ill let you know my findings.

Thanks guys

So here is some minor updates to the renderings. IF i went with black I would most likely do a brushed wheel (not shown). This to me is a more "liked" look. By that I mean the girlfriend, family, people who don't know or care about cars like I do ect..

The gun metal flat is my original intentions with the truck from the day i saw it and most likely is the way i will finish it. Just hard for me to pick a color other than black. (I have only owned black cars).

Thanks again for the input

You never said we couldn't vote twice..... Gun metal all the way. I can show you pics of at least a dozen black 64-66 C10s. Don't get me wrong, they look awesome... but I think the gunmetal vision you put together will stand out MUCH more than black. Just my opinion of course!

Re: My 66 C-10 LWB full PB "Blackout"

Man,

Life is going by too fast and I feel like I got my hands in too many pots. In other words, I have been slacking on the truck. Really been driving it on the weekends, enjoying it. Planning the next phase and making sure I am happy with everything.

I am going overboard on the Dynamat and Lizard Skin. I sprayed almost a whole bucket in just the cab. 3x normal. And am laying down dynamat ontop of it.

Also got some bummer news. The tires I have on the truck now are bulging out the sides (they sat to long with no air in them and weakened the walls) so they will require all new tires. As you can tell form the rendering I plan on going with different wheels anyway. So before I swap them out I promise to use these for some awesome burnout videos...

Right now i am planning out the interior finishes, researching the Vintage Air install, ect.

Blacked out my Daily driver with the front grill and gills.

Here some updated pics.

Same problem here. I've tried to stray from time to time but always end up with black in the end.

Re: My 66 C-10 LWB full PB "Blackout"

Dang guys.. I don't know where to time went.. the last 3-4 months i have been focused on the new house (and all those projects and honey dewssssss).

Currently I am working on setting up the garage. Compared to my old 3 car this one lays out really cool..there is a two car (which is the size of my old 3 car with 15 foot ceilings and the 66 has a seperate garage bay all the its self.

I look forward to finishing the wood bed, A/C, Posi and interior to get this thing on the road soon as all the house stuffs settles down. I will be getting back on this thing soon, and will get caught up on all YOUR builds..

Very cool. Love the side entry garages. I wish I had a 3 car garage again. We're starting to look again up near Red Rock...

I know I might be chiming in late but the gun metal gray w/black trim looks awesome. I love the truck as a whole even though I'm not a huge long bed fan, this one might convert me!!

Re: My 66 C-10 LWB full PB "Blackout"

holy sh**...it makes me mad to look back at all the time that has passed since i moved and realize how little progress has been made.. the good news is i have been busy with my other "projects" building my new office/reef tank, landscaping my yard, sold my CTS-V and got a new DD. Since the above i have done quite a bit to the truck but still need to get the paint and interior finished.

I shortened the bed, not a short bed but not a long bed either, i went with the perfect mix for me.. also got new wheels and tires. and has continued to work out some kinks.. i upgraded my rotors, and tried differed boosters but still have a ****ty break pedal..

Miss this forum and all the cool guys..

heres some update pics.
