250 split manifold question

Have any of you sent your exhaust manifold off to be split? I am researching ways to get duals on my 250 and found a place that will split, weld, grind, high temp paint and return ups for $185 with the option to keep the factory heat riser. Lowest I've seen the stovebolt cast headers is $259 and clifford truck headers run around $340. Any comments or suggestions for low price duals would be appreciated. What did you go with and why?
