gas tank filler help

i have relocated my tank under the bed. i used a RCI tank. it fits perfectly. i now have to decide what to do on the filler tube. i put it where the spare tire goes and would like to put a trap door in the bed floor to access the tank to fill it. does anyone have pictures of a set-up like this?

Keep an open mind on the placement of the filler! Here is a pic of mine that is almost complete, and different! The filler neck is on the driver side rear in the bed and out of the way if you need to carry anything.

Re: gas tank filler help

I am also looking at adding a door to access my fuel fill.
I have searched for pictures of what others have done but havent seen anything that captures what I would like to do.
Anyone have any pictures of what they have seen, for an access door in a wood floor?
Greg.

Here is a link to the Stacey David/Gearz website, you can scroll through the pics and see the filler in the wood bed of the Copperhead truck. It is basically a billet filler cap assembly routered into the wood for a flush finish. Take your time with a router and it should be a clean look.

That is a nice look, but my filler neck is under one of the narrower center boards and I believe that access door is to big to fit.
