thats exactly wat i was thinking about , saves on a lot of clutter in the dash too it can all be intergrated in one screen : navigation radio mp3 and 4 telephone internet (television) and airride
all this stuff is getting closer and closer to sumtin i been thinking about for a lot longer: a glass dashboard like in the newer planes with all the gauges simulated on 2 or 3 TFT touchscreens , the whole dash would be blacked out when the engines not running
this way you can change size fitment and form of the gauges (skins) any way you like , there been some of these things on the market but not all of it in one package and for installing aftermarket

I have 6.5" kick panel enclosures that I carpeted and then a 8" sub behind the seat. I removed the gas tank and built a board to insert into the space to mount my amplifier and electronics around the subwoofer. The board mounts to the original gas tank mounting brackets. The only thing visible when everything is tucked away are the kick panel speakers.

Sorry for reviving a dead thread, but I wanted to see if this awesome idea has been upgraded technology wise. I'd love to do something like this with a current screen setup.

i think it you have the right bracket for it , it wouldnt be to big of a change to put a smartphone in the tray and hook it up to the radio or an amp in the car using a bleutooth receiver
other than that i think if you start looking around you find plevty of new swivelpieces maibe even some sort of electric setup using servo's and a arduino making it work or sumtin like that
