"dog dish" hub caps

Are all "dog dish" style hub caps the same size as far as what wheels they will fit on, or do hub caps from different model years require a certain rim to fit? I would love to go with some stock wheels (may have found some) with dog dish hub caps, but I'm not sure which dog dish caps I would be able to buy to use with them so I am curious its a universal type fit as long as I stay with truck hubs and truck wheels. Thanks.

What year? The stock 67/8 'dog dish' caps have a 10.125" (give or take the .125 as my caps aren't 100% straight) & snap on the outside of 'tits' located around the wheel.

The later model Caprice dog dish caps are a direct swap & look alot like the earlier model 67-8 caps. I have a couple of sets I could compare if you need pics. These caps can still be picked up @ your local GM dealer (but there not cheap). A cheaper alternative would be any used hubcap joint.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

3/4 ton hub caps can't be used on 1/2 ton trucks...and visa versa.

Also 67 and 68 base "poverty" hub caps are similar size shape but painted different colors.
