1966 C-20 Heater box Top

It may seem like a easy tasks
But I can’t seem to remove my heater box top
Located on the firewall .... any advice .?
I can open the top to see the heater core
But we’re it sits on the top of the firewall
On the drip rail I need to take it off
Removed the bolt/screws on the top and sides were it connects
to that drip rail still won’t budge

Thanks .... Sp

Re: 1966 C-20 Heater box Top

If I remember right there are 2-3 bolts, sheet metal screws that are located inside, top of foot well area.
Don't ask how I know.
Also do a search on heaters and there is a ton of info there.

Cal.

Thank Cal
I did a search and you are correct
I just have to Summon the courage to lay down inside this cab
Maybe it my age but it is by far one of the nastiest cabs
I’ve seen I’m pretty sure they were storing garbage inside for sometime before I bought it
I should have hosed it out before pulling to the garage
That on me

The entire heater needs to be removed from the firewall to be able to remove the top.
