Wiw, 1967 fleetside longbed

It wouldn't let me post in wiw for some reason. admin please move

I found a 1967 c10 longbed fleetside in a barn near my house. It appears to be all original. The girl who owns the truck bought from the original owner and it has all the manuals and paperwork that came with the truck when the guy bought it brand new. He gave $2150 for the truck in May of 1967 and owned it up until 2007 when my friend bought the truck.

Im trying to figure out what the truck is worth in its current state.

Truck does run and its a 3 on the tree

The pictures don't show a lot. What I can see is a darker shade of green peeling off a lighter shade of green. Also quite a few dents in the bed sides. The way it looks in the pictures I would say $750 - $1,000.

Re: Wiw, 1967 fleetside longbed

That's some nasty rust in the bed. Is there more rust? With rust like that, if it's elsewhere, I am closer to $500 - $750.

Buying it cleaning it up real good and then selling it. Or maybe parting it out.

She is asking $1000 for the truck. She is very passionate about this truck. I dont think i am willing to disrespect her with a lower offer. I just dont see any $ to be made here do you guys?

You need to be a subscribing member to post in the WIW section. That section is for posting a truck or part that you own, plan on selling, and don't know a value.

By "subscribing member " I mean that you need to be a paying member here to post in the WIW section. Since this is not your truck, and you are not trying to sell it the thread is fine here on the main message board. If this was your truck and you were asking what is it worth because you are selling it, I would lock this thread because you are not a subscribing (paying) member. If this was your truck and you were a subscribing (paying) member, I would move this thread to the WIW section. Clear as mud?

Re: Wiw, 1967 fleetside longbed

You see a lot of people nowadays take a truck like that and shorten it and make desirable truck ? You may could do that , thats the only way to raise its value above $1000 looks to me like , in the pics you cant tell how bad the rust is on the cab ? If the cab is good and doors are not eat out with rust this could possibly make one of the patina trucks ?

Re: Wiw, 1967 fleetside longbed

Honestly. I'm going with the 4-600 dollar range over here in Kansas. That bed rusts scares me a little.. Would probably make a really good parts truck though..

Re: Wiw, 1967 fleetside longbed

one cool thing about the truck is that its complete and in original shape, if its running and driving too...you could clean it up real good.. get it in daily driver shape.. and make a patina rod out of it.. I don't think I would look at it to make money on though.. more like fun practice for the next project.. maybe break even in the end. would be a fun project though
