Anyone run factory wagon wheels???

I have 2 sets of them, may have to make one good set out of the two....I like factory rally wheels, also....
THey use the same center caps as the rally wheels.

Just wondering. I'm not sure I've seen any pictures of anyone's ride with the factory wagon wheels.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen a picture here (and I've seen a boat load of pictures, here...) of a pickup, sub, or blazer with factory wheels. As I mentioned, I have 2 sets of them, might have a line on another set...

Those are known as "Rally" wheels.

Both are Rallye wheels, the wagon style are PA6

The picture you posted is a Pickup Rally Wheel, different from the car Rally wheel...if theres another name for the pickup rally wheel, I am not sure what it is....

I have always heard the above wheels referred to as Wagons Wheels, but did not know that the General sent trucks out with them from the factory or that they were really called Truck Rallyes. My brain is going to fill up if the learning doesn't stop. lol

They look good on most any vehicle from the 70's era give or take some years with a preference on trucks and off-roaders.

I would bet that most folks that change their wheels end up talking themselves into spending more on shoes than what these can be had for. This might account for why there are few truck photos with these wheels.

They are great IMO especially for non-trailer queens and period correct daily's or the lived-in-look trucks.

I think what are traditionally known as wagon wheels can be a good look. But its a weird thing to me, I can see them on one truck and just go ho-hum and on another its really great look. I feel the same way about traditional five slot mag wheels. Normally I love them on anything, but sometimes ... meh.

I had factory white wagon wheels on my Blazer and swapped them out for the 6-lug rally wheels from the square body generation. I think the wagon wheels look good on some trucks, but I really like my rally wheels.

Was never a fan, Here, they rust and the brown streaks on the baked on white paint, then look like crap. repainting them did not help much, as the weights being hammered on, would start the rusty brown streaks again.
I do remember the local tire store having them along with many other wheels and these were very cheap, and most likely why they were on tons of trucks. I want to say the ones with red and blue pin stripe on the lip were American racing brand.

The wagon wheels offered by the factory at the time were actually PA6 option "Sport Truck'' wheels for Chevrolet trucks and "Sport Coupe" wheels for the GMC trucks. Believe were offered as an option from '77 up thru '82 possibly '83. Not sure on that, a bit rusty on my square body lore and still learning things for the 67-72 trucks, LOL. Don't see them much anymore on trucks but actual factory wheels can be determined by the rolled or curved edge of the triangle slots and also the threaded holes for the rally cap mounting. Sharp edges on the slots denote an after market wheel. Nice looking wheels if wanting a period correct look. Have had and sold a couple sets, hard to find a complete matched letter coded set.

I had chrome wagon wheels on my 79 CJ7 and thought they looked fine. My main reason was I spent a lot of time on rocky trails and they were a lot cheaper to replace than an aluminum wheel.

My opinion is they look OK on the blazer pictured but there are better options.

The Wagon Wheel or White Spoke was known as the "Styled" Wheel in the GM literature.

The factory white spokes wee stamped steel and the aftermarket were plate steel. These are aftermarket. I think they look pretty good on both trucks. The Blazer was back in the day and the pickup was done to look like back in the day

I have to admit I never really liked the aftermarket wagon wheels back in the days when they were new and popular, but they were EVERYwhere for about 4-5 years in the 70's. I did, however, like when GM made their own styled "wagon" wheels (ala post #3) - thought they looked good on the square K sports - they kinda went with all the wild stripes and graphics. If I were restoring a square K that was born with them, I'd use them, but probably not otherwise. I am a little surprised they didn't seem to filter down onto 67-72 Ks or pre-71 Cs, really don't recall seeing them retrofitted onto this era truck for some reason.
