Oh hell...it looked like a reflection in the picture! My bad.

Nice on the X2, how were they to install?

The X2 was pretty straightforward to install. Did require a little modification and welding to c notch the frame for the rack and pinion....but couldn't beat the cost when I purchased at the time.

Looking at this is why I know mine will never be done. Love what you are doing on this. And glad to see you didn't go with the obligatory can crush shot.

Thank you...my problem is I don't have a definitive plan or direction. Honestly, this wasn't the look I was initially going for, I just detoured and ended here.

I had a plan for years and no time or money. I then began working on the truck and found I changed the plan completely. So, I guess that is what makes them fun. The build, the process, the figuring it out, and the driving....only to continue to change things as you go. I just know I don't want to do paint and body a second time Looking back, had I had a big pocket of money I would have rushed through mine and probably not been as satisfied with the outcome.

Nice work so far Freddie. Do you like the Vulcan welder? I've been thinking of buying a better welder.

Thanks Roger...For years I've toyed around with cheaper flux core welders, with no success of course. I was to the point where I started paying folks to weld simple tasks. Honestly, with this Vulcan, I feel I can tackle any project. I should've purchased a quilty welder long time ago.

I can't go into specifics as to which is better of the name brands vs the Vulcan. However, you cannot go wrong getting this one. In fact, after seeing my weld, friends went out and got the Vulcan.

Is a sway bar needed if you're using a Watts link?

Re: My time... Nothing New. But it's my Build.

Going with two air tanks. Just using what I have to accommodate that desire.

Re: My time... Nothing New. But it's my Build.

Modifications to the bracket for the compressors and tanks looks good. Where do you plan to mount them? I mounted my 3 gallon tank between my rear mounted gas tank and the bumper and don't really have confidence that 3 gallons will be enough so I may relocate it and add another tank at the same time. Keep up the good work, I'm enjoying watching it!

Sorry for the delayed response. I really don't have a plan. Just trying different things as I go, using things laying around the garage

Steering gearbox removed. Switched to a rack & pinion setup. Thought that would a good spot for my remote oil filter

What a sweet build! Where do you plan on placing the mufflers, outside the frame rails?

* Edit * I see they are already aft the trans cross member.
