Looking to move my in cab tank to the Blazer tank back between the rear framerails....want a new one...how much do they go for, and where?

Any of the suppliers that frequent these boards will have them. They run in the area of $350.00 for the conversion. You can go the the localwrecking yard and find a BLAZER to get yours out of. It will run a whole lot less! but you will have to furnish more ELBOW GREASE.

A friend gave me mine.

You will have to extend the fuel line,and fuel gauge wiring.

Wow...$350!

You can get an aftermarket tank from Jeg's for that, and just run new line all the way to the carb for that...wow, didn't relaize they cost that much.....

You can make the crossmembers and get a new tank ,sending unit, and straps from Raybuck. They are online too. A new metal Blazer tanks goes for around 100 bucks. If you can find a Blazer in a yard somewhere you may be able to get the cross members, etc from it.

SORRY if I was off on the price, I added a bunch of stuff at the same time i did mine. (Steel braided fuel line, electric fuel pump, and an EARLs in line Fuel filter.)

MUDDER,

What "crossmembers" are you talking about? Mine went straight in, just had to add the MOUNTING STRAPS. It fit BETWEEN the CROSSMEMBERS.

My orginal rear cross member ( had too many chains around it) and made a new one that I could sue to mount the tank straps and skid plate onto. My chassis is a 77 also and not sure what he older trucks have back there. I moved my tank back there long before I even had a pc or knew anything about this board. Not sure if I would have done things any different though.

Tracy, if you're doing a longbed; the easiest way to do lines is to order a set from the same supplier to fit the 'Burb or Panel.They should fit right up just like the 'Burb.I would think you could do the same with a SWB except you would have to modify for legnth.
