67 C20 with factory air conditioning- how hard to resurrect?

I have had a 67 C20 for a decade or so as a truck my wife can drive to the feed store or to get landscape supplies. The heater core leaked when I bought it and I just looped the hose to/from the water pump and never looked back. She has been happy driving it during the summer with no heat and during the winter it stays parked.

I want to put a new heater core in it and when I began disassembly I realized that the factory air system was mostly present (except compressor, brackets, and hoses).

The condenser and evaporator and the rest of the circuit has been open to the elements for over a decade.

Should I just replace the heater core and be happy?
