Side mirror

Sport side mirrors, is the hole really 11/32 ? Seems like a large hole to drill? I've read all the posts and seen the alignment / specs but concerned that's too big a hole. Am I reading that wrong? Thanks in advance

Re: Side mirror

It is a large hole, I use a 3/8 spot weld cutter to cut the hole...

Re: Side mirror

When I installed mine I drilled a smaller hole also, Im guessing the reason is because it screws to the backing plate not the body and with a larger hole you would have room for adjustment..but still I went with a smaller hole.

Re: Side mirror

Its been a few years so sorry I cant remember, as long as the screw slides through you should be fine, FIY once I drilled the holes I smeared some liquid steel on the backing plate, also you will need another set of hands to install.
