Something interesting! It’s a KEM engine rated at 304HP/396TQ.

I would like to know about this. Those are very good truck numbers.

Re: A freebie! 1986 C10 Longbed

Front end disassembled and being prepped for the new spindles!

Cut 1 complete coil out of the spring, about 2” additional drop over the 2.5” spindles.

Spring and spindle reinstalled.

My dumb ass forgot to check the brake package before ordering the spindles...turns out this truck actually had the 1” rotors! So, perfect time to convert to JB5 rotors and calipers!

Caliper and new pads installed! I’ll have to wait until tomorrow on the hoses, they ended up being a day out.

Since the front end isn’t complete yet, enjoy another glorious rear end shot!

Fancy indeed! Nothing wrong with a good rear shot.

Re: A freebie! 1986 C10 Longbed

Thanks!

I finished up the driver side today with a new brake line!

Completed the passenger side too!

Installed the sway bar lowering brackets!

Sway bar reinstalled!

The front end is all back together!

Back on all fours!

This is perfection! Exactly what I was going for!

That is very nice! Do you have any information on the kit you used?

Re: A freebie! 1986 C10 Longbed

Thank you! And yes, I do! Overall, this is about a 4.5” front/6” rear drop. Current tire size is 235/70R15, I will likely keep that front size and go 275/60R15 in the rear.

The drop spindles are Classic Performance CLP-CP4s4 2.5” drop spindles. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/clp-cp4s4

The coil springs are stock 1/2 ton V8 springs with 1 complete coil cut as seen in the pictures, equal to about 2” additional drop. The rear leaf springs are the stock 3+1 spring pack, the overload spring is intact and no leafs were removed.

The axle flip kit is UMI Performance UPI-6410, with a 6” drop. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/upi-6410

The shock extensions are UMI Performance UPI-6411. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/upi-6411

The sway bar relocation kit is Classic Performance CLP- 6372LSB. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/clp-6372lsb
