Re: newbie 1968 progress thread

Thanks for all of the positive feedback. You guys want more details? Lets start with the roll up back window.
I got an electric window regulator out of a 86 chevy blazer. I had to narrow the sash a little, cut out the pinch weld around the back window and weld in a window channel, cut out the back of the cab and add a 1" box to the back for the window to roll down into it, fabricate a custom stand to bolt the regulator to and then get a piece of custom tempered glass cut 3" taller than the factory glass.
With the suicide doors I used a universal kit (don't fit ****) from hagans hotrods. It was a very good kit and has lots of adjustments to get the door right where it needs to be. I welded a 1/4" plate behind the door pillar so there would be no sage issues and also welded a piece of metal from the hinges to the back of the cab for more stability.

Both of these modifications were alot of work. But with some patience any of you can do them.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Do you have anymore pictures of the chassis. What kind of front and rear suspension are you running.
