Re: Brothers Trucks is now offering 15" stock style steering wheels

I received mine Friday but haven't installed it yet. It didn't seem to be flimsy, looked close to the original and is definitely a bit smaller. If I have time today I'll at least get it installed and possibly get some pics. I've been having trouble getting pics posted from my phone.

Re: Brothers Trucks is now offering 15" stock style steering wheels

Ok so picked up my wheels from Tom yesterday.......drove truck today for about a 50 mile Cruze as its been a few weeks.

Got done with that and started in on the removal and install of the wheels.

All I can say is the second I sat in the seat to take truck back out for the wheel test run I immediately noticed the room I seemed to have without the old wheel.

As I cruised around what a difference seems as this should have been the size for the stock wheel all along.

I’m very happy with the wheel and would recommend it.......Ive included a few picks of the wheel installed in my C-20 daily driver I think it looks great......

Get ahold of T-Korinek here on the board he now has them in stock and can hook you up with deal.......

Re: Brothers Trucks is now offering 15" stock style steering wheels

So far I agree with Rods, just can't take mine for a test drive yet. Definitely have more room and the wheel is firm, not flimsy. Rods pics are much better than my crappy cell-phone pics so I didn't bother posting them.

Re: Brothers Trucks is now offering 15" stock style steering wheels

I am going to highly recommend this new wheel for anyone who:

1) Is a large, overweight person like me
2) Has power steering
3) Likes the stock look

I think this is the best non-original part I've put on the truck. I love it!

Does the wheel bolt on just like the original without the need of any kind of adapter kit?

Will this wheel be a direct for or a '68 also?

Should be a direct fit, however it's not the correct wheel for 67-68.

Thanks, I know that, I would prefer a smaller wheel.

Re: Brothers Trucks is now offering 15" stock style steering wheels

Curious if anyone else has went with the 15" wheel? Any more reviews? For those that have, does the Automatic transmission shift lever look awkward sticking out beyond the 15" wheel? I'm really considering this steering wheel, seems like it could add comfort plus it's appearance would better my existing driver+ wheel.

Re: Brothers Trucks is now offering 15" stock style steering wheels

I haven't installed it yet, but I bought a van shifter lever just for that reason.

Re: Brothers Trucks is now offering 15" stock style steering wheels

I usually go with the 69-72 Comfort Grip wheels in my trucks but, decided on the 15” stock reproduction for my Suburban. They’re just too cool to pass up. I don’t feel the shifter sticks out that far and I really like the quality and feel. Will be getting one for my Blazer when the time is right.

Wheel looks real good. I'm thinking that I will purchase a new 15" steering wheel courtesy of the US government stimulus program.

Re: Brothers Trucks is now offering 15" stock style steering wheels

How was the feel of the 15" reproduction wheel vs the standard sized reproductions? Does it feel more sturdy? i would assume they have greatly improved the quality of the full size reproductions over the years as well.

Hard to beat a 3-spoke cushion grip wheel in these trucks.
Nice wheel.

Reviving an old thread, they now offer a 67-68 wheel in 15".

Is the grip on this reproduction larger than original? The small grip make my hands ache within minutes. I had to replace my wheel with a Amazon wood. It is too shiny for my taste but my hands don't lock up in me.

My wheel is identical aside from the diameter, so the same skinny grip.
Mine came from LMC, but I believe these are all the same.

why are you gripping the steering wheel? I think you need to retrain your driving technique. Even under extreme driving the wheel should float within your palm.
