10 or 12 bolt ?

So been looking for a posi unit to put in my 10 bolt but ran across a 12 bolt rear for 80 bucks and i have a posi unit for a truck 12 bolt so not sure what to do now.i know the truck 12 bolts are not as strong as the car ones. Was going for 4.30 gears in the 10 bolt but that ratio is not available so would have to use 4.11 for the 12 bolt and i have to use the thick gear set cuz it's a series 3 carrier but it would be nice to build the rear and then just swap them instead of removing mine and building it.What would you guys do? Cost wise it will be about the same

Re: 10 or 12 bolt ?

car 12 bolt carriers are supposed to fit truck 12 bolt housings, same for the 8.5 10 bolt
