Well I've been debating about which motor/transmission we were going to put in the truck. Decided on the 283 that is bored 40 over and rebuilt Powerglide. Cleaned up the short block and just waiting for the heads.

Have not posted any updates in a while but we took the motor all the way apart and cleaned everything up and reassembled with new parts.

Yesterday I painted the new flexplate and bolted the transmission to the the motor. Also cleaned, painted and installed the crank pulley and motor mounts.

Today we got the engine/transmission installed. Lined up the engine perches and fabricated a transmission cross member.
