a pillar weatherstripping.

can anyone tell me if I cut the steel plate in or just leave it on top and screw it in.?

so I slice all the way around so the plate actually sits down in side like original?

By any chance did you take any photos of the of the pillar once you removed the old weatherstripping, and if you don't mind could you post them, as I am going to remove my old one's too. thanks

What did the OEM screws look like to affix the weatherstrip? I'm drawing a blank.
