Multi-colored wires for sale anywhere?

Does anybody sell automotive wiring in small(5 to 10 feet) spools in the whole range of colors?

Any local hardware store carries red/black/green/white/blue. I've found places online that carry a few additional colors. Does anyone carry a much wider range -- including white w/ orange tracer, green w/ black tracer, etc.?

It would be nice to custom build or modify a harness, and use wire colors of my choice rather than picking between a few colors.

Re: Multi-colored wires for sale anywhere?

The problem is that all places typically have (such as my suppliers) 1000’ minimum orders on anything with a tracer stripe. And while I have a few, neither I nor probably anybody else will have them available. If it helps you I have:

Orange w/blk
Blue w/white
Pink w/white
Pink w/black

Check eBay. There are sellers that will supply short sections of tracer type gm wiring

I am also interested in this subject. "25 Foot rolls of wire offered in all of the popular gauge sizes and colors (including hard-to-find stripes)" is what the catalog at M&H Electric Fabricators says. I bought an HEI power wire kit made by them, and now looking at their catalog for other stuff. Starting on page 52 http://www.wiringharness.com/PDFS/TR...hevy_Truck.pdf

A google search for multi color automotive wiring found this site:
https://4rcustomswire.com/products

I didn't know they existed before this search so do your own homework before ordering.

If you know an electrician, especially one that does industrial and control work, there is never a lack of partially used spools.

NAPA, and most chain autoparts retailers have small coils of automotive wire in blister packs. The rarer colors are not there, however.
M&H are my go-to for harnesses. Never had a problem with them.

Here's another. Just solid colors.

Watch out for low-temp (80C) insulation if you are wiring on the engine.

Right. Use TXL, (Thin walled insulation) or GXL, (Thick walled)

Re: Multi-colored wires for sale anywhere?

I second wirebarn. You can buy up to 11 different colors (but no stripes as damnyankee36 said above) in spools as small as 10', in TXL or GXL. I like GXL because I prefer the thicker insulation. Too much is never enough, right?

Depending on what gauge you need, you can get 10' x 10 colors for under $20. Plus shipping.
