Instrument Lamp Sockets and Terminals
I am having a hell of a time finding instrument panel lamp sockets and their associated terminals. I've attached some pics. I found just one place that carried but after two weeks of waiting they finally told me these parts were discontinued.
I know I can get the pigtails from American Autowire but that would get too expensive for the quantity I want. Anybody know who carries them? |

Re: Instrument Lamp Sockets and Terminals
I would go to the junk yard and cut a bunch of ends off for a few bucks.

Re: Instrument Lamp Sockets and Terminals
Actually, it looks like I'm gonna have to do something similar and that's to solder the new wires on old terminals. At least it will be a fresh connection and not a 50 year old crimp. I can still crimp the insulation wings over the insulation part of the wire.
At least I can buy the center terminals. An old one would be harder to solder a new wire to. |
