Geez Randy...you'll be so bored that you'll have to give me your truck and start on a new one! I only have 35 more years to go til I retire! Then again...hairdressers never retire til we need new hips and knees!

I agree ,will be 13 years this Dec. there is a lot of anxiety that comes with the thought of retiring ,but when I reached the 30 yr make don't stand in the doorway .All that goes away in about 6 months and you get in the Retirement nitch, There are lots of thing to do from ,new career to hobbie's ,volunteer work or just puttsing around .I divide my time between all of them .
The first 6-9 months you still think you should be going somewhere ( work) . I spent mine fixing and doing all the things I wanted to do around the house .

It will be a long 27 months GOOD LUCK

I have been retired for about 1 1/2 years. I love it. I don't have to
rush everything because of having to be at work. It is wonderful to
actually see something completed

Retirement....that is a long way off when you are almost 20

My stepdad retired at 55 (he's 57 now), and like you guys say, he loves it. I don't know how he can keep so busy but he does...he loves it.

My goal is retire when I hit 55....in about 26 years. My dad has about 16 months left and he cannot wait, he's been with Exxon for 30+ years.

My last financial statement said my earliest retirement date will be in 2032. So only 28 years left to go I gotta get a better financial adviser
