Front suspension rebuild parts

I know this should most likely be in the "Suspension" section, but it's a specific 73-87 question, so I'm asking here. My son just bought an 81 C10 and it really needs the suspension rebuilt when we install drop spindles and springs.

I bought some tie rods, idler arm and pitman arm in the "For Sale" section last week from another member, but it's still going to need the control arm bushings and ball joints.

Is there anyone that offers a rebuild kit? I'd like to possibly upgrade to the urethane bushings, but some kits don't come with the metal shells, so you have to cut the rubber out of the old bushings. I'd rather have a ready to install kit.

Does the Energy Suspension kit have everything?

Re: Front suspension rebuild parts

I'm partial to moog myself, and got all my parts from Rockauto.com. Don't know if these trucks warrant urethane... and in my experience it squeaks like crazy.

However, I did just check and it looks like Rockauto does stock the energy suspension kit. Picture shows the metal parts as well, but you know how stock pictures can be.

Re: Front suspension rebuild parts

I know the GMT800 kits from Energy Suspension explicitly state that they don't include the outer shells for the upper bushings.

Some of their kits do include shells tho... so... Go to http://www.energysuspension.com/ and look up the kit for your rig.
