08 Yukon front strut question

Hi all, I just have a quick question,

Am I able to change just the front strut or do I need the coil assembly as well . I just bought 2 new struts off rock auto they came with no spring assembly will I be able to put just the strut in or do I HAVE to have everything? Thanks for your help all!

I attached a picture of what I have bought.

Re: 08 Yukon front strut question

You can just do the strut, that's typical. You will need to re-use the coils, mounts, bumpers from the old struts which will require a heavy duty spring compressor.

Good luck on the springs, them suckers are stiff as all heck. I just replaced mine with an old school compression tool and wooo, let me tell ya. Well worth the savings imho.
