Re: Dumbest thing you have done to your truck

installing a hurst (universal) floor shift in my 70 three on the tree long bed major pain in the butt. and we all know what universal means(it fits nothing) plus I cut my dash(1978) to install a digital clock (total dumb ass move) back when I was 19 years old. (33 years ago) cheers, Pat

Re: Dumbest thing you have done to your truck

shortly after getting my truck and first winter with it....said to myself and buddy I was with that I am going to drive this baby right through this snow pile in front of me......LOL.....it was plowed snow and a very frozen pile at that.....sheared the pins on the front perches and shifted the front rear....had to call dad for a tow home.....young and very stupid....but lesson learned.....

I got out of my Toyota truck and forgot to set the e brake. Turned around to see it rolling down the driveway and into the fleetside of my once laser straight 69.

Re: Dumbest thing you have done to your truck

I would have to say selling getting rid of them while I was PO'ed. Sold my first one (72 2 wheel drive blazer) after a fight with an ex girlfriend. Sold my third one (72 GMC Sierra Grande shorty) after I had to use it as a work vechicle every day for 2 years and then stood back and saw what I did to it, and then not once, but twice, unloaded projects that that sat untouched for a year after listening to the ex wife complain about "junking up the garage". Now on my last project, been 6 years in the making but almost complete, a ,72 C30 longhorn super cheyenne, fully optioned. Now the next dumbest thing I can do is to start thinking of all the money Ive dumped into these things over the years.......jeeez
