Really cool. I assume the 1/2 top was part of the original camper package? By the way, that is a massive shop with some neat 67-72 toys. ( Oh and a 63 clip).

Re: 1971 Blazer w/ factory pop up camper

What do you think it is worth? should it stay a 4x4 or go 2 wheel drive? I dont now what i am going to do with it yet, but i could not pass it up. The old owner sead most people that looked at it wonted to take off the camper, lift the truck and go with 1 ton axle, and go 4 wheel it.

What is it worth???????????? (It dous run, move, and stop) Thanks

Hard to put a value on it. I see them forsale quite often out here and prices are pretty cheap. Popular around this area because of the mountain terrain, alot of campers out here.

The problem with value is that you need a blazer to put it on. They make similar pop up campers for pickup trucks as well, old and new, and that seems to be more popular now since pickups are everywhere.

Only a select market for the blazer style campers so they are hard to sell.

Very neat piece. I had a 73 hatchback nova years ago that also had a tent that worked off of the back of the hatch. Most here probably won't know what that is but it's rather obscure too. Wasn't really much use for it since it's just a passenger car that wouldn't go most places up in the mountains anyway. So it was more of a novelty.

Which brings me to your next question. It would make more sense to keep the blazer a 4x4 for the simple reason that anyone that would want to use the camper is going to want to get away from the crowds, hence off roading up in the mountains to places a 2wd vehicle won't go.

If you see any in the good ones in AZ or a stone's throw away can you let me know. I'd love to save one specific to the 1st gen blazer.

Re: 1971 Blazer w/ factory pop up camper

I can do that. The last one here forsale that I saw a couple months back was $300 or best offer. It was in about as good of shape as you would expect a 40+ year old camper to be.

Very nice. I think you should keep it 4x4 and take it out camping!
