Advice needed, 94 Blazer 4x4

Looking at a mechanic's special, here's the ad text...

1994 Full Size Blazer 4x4

New:
2 Moog front wheel hub assemb
Acdelco upper and lower ball joints
Acdelco upper and lower control arm bushings
Sway bar end links
Driver side cv axle
Monroe spectrum shocks front and rear
Alternator
AC compressor
Condenser
Ac lines
Accumulator
Fuel tank
Delphi fuel pump
Spectra fuel sender
Egr valve
TPS
IAC
Brake calipers
Wiper motor
Headlight assemblies
Turn signal assemblies
Taillight assemb
Plus more...

Transmission recently won’t shift out of 1st unless you let off the gas at shift point. Throwing code 82 which for this year is 1-2 shift solenoid. I have replaced both shift solenoids and new filter/pan gasket. Still having issue. Also, throwing code 43 for electronic spark control/knock. Has new ecm and have replaced knock sensor and plug. Still throwing code for that.

Thanks in advance.

I bet you have a bad ground or a grounded wire. Also with the possibility of a bad computer module.

I have seen this with friends cars where weird random problems, and it is a pita to find usually.

I wonder if it has a vacuum modulator on it? My 94 Buick was still vacuum controlled. It sounds like bad vacuum to the trans in the old days.

That is what I am hoping, an easy wiring issue. He did say he replaced the ecm. The owner said he didn't check anything on the harness.

That will be one of the first things I look at.

'94 is fully electronic.

I bet they didn't fully seat the shift solenoid and installed the clip in the o-ring groove. I've seen it a couple times. It won't set a trans code but won't shift properly either.

It's still throwing the code 82.

Both fault codes have a common fail area, that being a wiring issue...either a broken wire, corroded terminals or a ground on a circuit due to a wire being jammed between parts, possibly during the previously listed repairs.

Troublecodes.net has a good list of applicable codes and problem areas...

That's what I'm leaning towards. The owner has replaced the mechanical parts so I feel like it is electrical. He said he didn't look at the harness for issues.
