I finally cranked the engine! First start with the blower set up. It needs some tuning but it's alive!

I've gotten the same questions every time I've posted this video somewhere, so here are some answers:
  • Yes it's idling high. The blower is pulling the secondaries open.
  • There is water circulating in the engine, there is a hose in the manifold and a drain out of the pump.
  • The headers are temporary zoomies made by hacking up some old longtubes. Just for this start.

Around 5:45 it starts to want to idle and you can hear the cam a bit.


Here are a few pics of the rigging it took to get it started. I planned a huge "Blowers and BBQ" event and had some friends over so it forced me to get it done on time.

I also assumed that the carbs I had were decent... when it wouldn't fire I had to do some emergency last minute hacking.
