Re: 1940 Chev pick up restomod

That is going to come out real nice, I've always wanted a little Bobber truck to run around in but have more projects now than I have time or money for.

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: 1940 Chev pick up restomod

Box is just about done. Had to shrink the sides to get it flat. The welder was too impatient and warped it. Was 3/4" waves and after heating down to less than 1/8", not too bad.

Re: 1940 Chev pick up restomod

Box is ready for final sand and paint. I put vinyl letters on the tailgate, added 3 coats pf primer, and removed the stickers. Now I have embossed Chevrolet on the gate. Quick scuf with a scotch bright pad and paint.

That's a great idea! Nice work. I bet it took a little to get the letters set on perfect etc.

Sure I call it 3D painting, you could do any design with this. I did my spare tire holder with stickers too. Another cool ideas I had.
