'First day home' pics

I just stumbled over some old pics... here are a couple of my current truck the day I brought it home. I bought it from the original owner who was about 5 years older than Methuselah (or 3 years older than dirt, whichever you prefer). He had been a mechanic at a Chevy dealer for 35+ years. When I got the truck, it had already been (properly) converted to a column shift TH350 and power drum brakes). He also had quite a number of gadgets hanging in and around it as the pics will hint at...

Thumbs up

Cool. Almost though I was looking at my 70.

Love the look of the 69/70 steps....Although I am NOT partial to the green so many of them seemed to have had.

Thanks I was trying to figure out a way to keep the home-made headache rack and the dual spares but I'm planning a tonneau cover at some point so they had to go
