1972 GMC Stepside 4X4

Hey guys,

Picked up the truck and the pictures are below!

I'll be picking up a '72 GMC 1/2 ton 4X4 on Sunday.

It still retains it's original metal, with no rust on the rockers, and/or cab corners.

Slight rust on the bottom of the doors, yet nothing showing on the face of the door.

Kind of odd as it has the options of bucket seats, tilt wheel, AC, Posi-traction, Parchment trim, yet no special trim on the outside of it.

Original 350 with a 4 speed transmission. Motor has never been out, has 140K miles and runs incredibly well.

It is a short step-side bed and it's in great condition except for a bit of damage on the right front fender.

Does anybody know how many of the GMC step-sides 4x4 were made?

I read one website where it said there were only 1736 of the Chevrolet 4x4 step-sides made (1/2 ton, short wheelbase). But I can't find any information on the GMC models.

Thanks,

Pat
