Low hump for my high hump cab, comparison pics too - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Thanks to new member shaneâ€™s67 I now have a low hump for my high hump cab. Do to the body lift necessitated by the big block swap I need to make some changes to allow the transfer case shifter too work. I tried lengthening the shifter but was not happy with that result. Shane cut this low hump out of a junker cab and sent it to me - thanks Shane!

Here are pics showing the high hump next to the low hump and pics showing the low hump about ready to be bolted down - it worked perfectly for me.

You couldn't use the high hump?
With the body lift the holes weren't correct anymore?

Or is it a "looks" thing.

With the body lift I would have had to put a very large hole in the hump to get the shifter into 2wd - with the Rockwell Transfer case 2wd is all the way forward and with everything in the stock way, the shifter is about laying horizontal to the floor. Here is a pic a board member posted for me showing the shifter in the 2wd position.

Got the hump edges trimmed to fit last night and bolted in - just need to drill one more hole to attach it.
