'58 Engine swap

I am building a '58 on a tight budget. It's got the straight 6 in it, but its been seized up from being partially torn apart and left to the elements. The trans and rear end look good, so, I figure why replace if I don't need to. I have a hook up for a 250 straight 6 from a mid '70's Camaro. Do you think it will bolt up, or should I be looking for a trans as well? I emailed Advance Adapters, and their one sentence reply was "we don't deal with 6 cylinders."
