have Original GM coded key blanks. E code A code J code and C code. 2 keys sent for $9.50. Blazer and c10 The codes for each year are different patterns.

I just want a period correct looking key to operate my locks/ign. If they gave me a code E can i use a code A? Stupid question but the code has nothing to do with the cut of the key, right?

Yes the cut of the key is different for each year. Just buy a lockset that comes with keys. I have these. just click on each one and decide what you need. These are C-code keys. correct for 72 but will work for 71 and most other years from 68 to 72
