Re: Restored Vent Windows

Just received my set of vent windows. Top notch quality, well worth the wait. Highly recommend these to anyone looking to get a new set of assemblies. Thanks roger for everything.

Re: Restored Vent Windows

Roger,

Since you restore these regularly, you must have a source for the chrome (stainless?) sleeves that cover the upper part of the window channels. Could you either sell me a pair or refer me?

Thanks,
Gene Stephenson

I buy used vent window assemblies and have them rechromed.

How long would it take you to restore a pair of vent windows off my 1972 Chevy pickup?

From 3 to 4 weeks. The chrome plater takes 2 to 3 weeks this time of year.

Re: Restored Vent Windows

It looks like you do excellent work and if randy is behind you there's no question. My concern is that I want to stay away from "new" glass and stick to Sof-ray. In any case, ill hit you up in a few weeks. Thanks

I can do them with your original Sof-ray glass if they are in good condition. I have no source for Sof-ray at this time.

I purchase the vent window glass from LMC Trucks. It has the same tint as the original ones.

We charge around $425.00 and up to do a set based on condition of the vent windows we receive.

Please keep in mind that I do work a full time job so I do these when I have time. It takes around 3 weeks for the chrome plater to re-plate your original parts. Based on my schedule I will need another 2-4 weeks to break down, clean and restore your windows. If this timeline is not a issue I will do them.

I'm interested, I need a set for my '71. Do you have an idea when you'll have them complete?
