Altman Easy Latch lock issues

So I bought and installed the Altman Easy Latches for my 72 GMC C20. Love them, they work just like everyone says EXCEPT I'm having a terrible time with the doors locking. I get one side to lock but it is a struggle. The other side will not lock no matter what I do. I've called Altman (Trique) and left messages but nobody has called me back. Has anyone had this issue and if so, can you please tell me what to do to resolve it? Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you have something binding. Can you look into the door and see what is going on when you do this? I would lube everything well, and make sure there are no obstructions as well.

Mine are hard to lock and unlock as well. Not as bad as what you are describing though. I feel like there is not enough range of motion somehow...I've checked for binding etc. All looks good...it just doesn't feel like I think it should.

Re: Altman Easy Latch lock issues

I emailed Trique and finally got an email back. Calling was fruitless as it went to some weird voicemail. Anyways, ultimately I ended up buying a replacement pair they are sending and will send the bad ones back for a credit. Not ideal but my truck is about to go to a shop for engine overhaul and I need to be able to have it locked. We will see if the replacements are able to lock the doors. I do feel better that I'm not the only one having these issues as I couldn't find much on the issue. I will report back once I see how this works.

Looking forward to hearing how the new ones perform.
