77 Jimmy (JAMES)

Started a new project in the fall. Finally getting around to posting some pictures. Its a 77 Jimmy 2wd. Complete frame off overhaul. Frame was blasted and powder coated. Body work is being completed. Lizard Skin sound deadener sprayed today. So far I have the chassis completed with Porterbuilt front coil suspension, 3" CPP front drop coils and 2.5" drop spindles, Belltech rear leaf spring flip kit and Wilwood front and rear brakes. Waiting for the engine and transmission to arrive within the next week or so as well as an All American Billet serpentine drive kit and Vintage Air. Will post more as the project moves along.

Can also follow build on Instagram @sqclcustoms

Re: 77 Jimmy (JAMES)

Update on the Jimmy build:
Chevrolet Performance LS376/480 w/4L70E connect and cruise arrived and was set on top of some Hooker BlackHeart engine and transmission mounts. We also installed an All American Billet serpentine drive system.

The bodyman has been busy spraying the body and has sent me a few teaser photos of the colour. We dropped the chassis off with him this morning and he set the body on top. We expect to have it back in the shop in a week or so to keep moving along with it.

Re: 77 Jimmy (JAMES)

Been getting more done on the Jimmy in the past few weeks since we got it back from the body shop. The paint looks incredible. In the process of installing the Connect and Cruise wiring harness, ECM and trans controller as well as a new American Autowire wire harness kit. Ready to install the Dakota Digital VHX gauges, BIM module and GSS-2000 shift indicator unit.

Re: 77 Jimmy (JAMES)

I really like those hood hinges. What are they and where did you get them. Like the Color also. Really liked the green in 77 we called it sea foam. That’s looks by the pics to more like the 67-72 green that they had.

Re: 77 Jimmy (JAMES)

Got back from the gym yesterday and this box was waiting for me. Looking forward to getting a start on installing some Vintage Air.

While waiting for this order I got the Dakota Digital GSS-2000 shift indicator unit bolted up as well as the Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator and Red Horse fuel lines plumbed to it. Ready to install the Aeromotive Phantom 340 in tank fuel pump assembly.

I haven't been on here for a while so I thought I would drop off some pictures of the progress of the Jimmy.

Re: 77 Jimmy (JAMES)

The Mar K stuff is really nice quality. Packaged for shipping very well too so no chance of damage during shipping.

I thought so too. Took several months to receive, priced pretty high but compared to what else is available it was well worth it.

Am I hallucinating or is the inside baby blue and the outside is "Sea Foam Green" (if this were 1957 that would be the name of the color anyway)?

AND I'll add that this is beautiful, we can see the hours and love poured into this thing!
