Brake MC swap question

So tonight I went by the parts store, picked up a master cylinder from a 1967 Camaro. Nice looking unit, and it cost me $14. Doesn't include the push rod that I need to go from the brake pedal arm to the mc. Anyone know where to get one?

Also, who has made their own master cylinder brackets? I would LOVE to see pics if possible. Thanks so much for all the help in advance!

Re: Brake MC swap question

Yeah, I've seen some of those brackets. Only problem is that #1, that's not $80 worth of parts and engineering. It's an L bracket with holes drilled in it. I plan on building my own bracket, I was just hoping to steal ideas from those that have gone before me. My biggest concern right now is the push rod, and what I should make it out of. It's not easy for me to get stainless stock rod without ordering it through the mail, and I would have to get a 20 foot length and still have it threaded. I'm just trying to locate a quick answer on where to find one I can maybe cut to length, possibly off of another vehicle commonly found in a junk yard, or where I can just order a rod from for cheap.

Re: Brake MC swap question

Is your brake pedal on the firewal or under floorboard?

Re: Brake MC swap question

Under the floorboard, and thanks guys, while I was out on a traffic stop I started thumbing through my catalogs and found what I was looking for in Ecklers. If anyone wants to provide pics of their setup I would appreciate it! I'm already familiar with Orrieg's and Ogre's.
